    Daniela Valente

    Has been a Post-doctoral researcher at the Ultra Maritime Digital Communications Center, Dalhousie University since January 2013 and before at the iCore HCDC Laboratory, University of Alberta, Canada.
    She received the Laurea degree cum laude in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in 2006. She has work experiences in Telecommunication companies in the field of integration and management of wireless networks. In 2008, she got the PhD fellowship from University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and  she was a visiting PhD student at Aalborg University, Denmark.

    In A.A. 2010-2011, she received the PhD degree in Telecommunications and Microelectronics Engineering from University of Rome “Tor Vergata” with a thesis on: “Channel Equalization Techniques for Next Generation Terrestrial Radio-Mobile Networks”.

    Her main research interests are: air interfaces for terrestrial and satellite radio networks – modulation, channel coding, channel estimation, multiple access techniques and equalization techniques. Wideband communications, high frequency communications, short range wireless systems for medical applications.
