    Indrakshi Dey

    Received the B. Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India with first class and distinction in 2005. She received the MSc. degree with distinction in wireless communications from the University of Southampton, Southampton, United Kingdom in 2010, and the PhD. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada in 2015. Dr. Dey is a recipient of NSERC Industrial Postgraduate Scholarship and University of Calgary Student Excellence and Productive Awards for the years 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Currently, she is a post-doctoral fellow at UMDCC, working on underwater acoustic channel modeling. Her research interests include channel modeling, channel estimation / prediction and performance analysis for wireless RF, underwater, free-space optical (FSO) and land-mobile-satellite (LMS) propagation environments. From 2005 to 2007, she was employed at Rtronix Communications Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi, India. At Rtronix, she was responsible for integrating and designing of end-to-end communication systems for VSAT applications and disaster management systems used in Indian Rail-ways, Airways and Navy. From 2007 to 2009, she was employed at Al Bashiri Group, Sana’a, Yemen, one of the largest EPC company of Republic of Yemen, where she was involved with the integration of end-to-end communication systems for mining quarries and multi-dwelling units.
